Ilona Drew with a hot recipe for the competition, which is now running till the end of May.

Emilie Boudet with a red hot recipe for the competition.

Over to her…
I found this recipe in Rosa Jackson book “La cuisine des paresseuses” (”Cooking for lazy girls”). It’s inspired by the original recipe created by the famous french cook Guy Savoy. In Rosa’s book, it belongs to a special menu called “Le menu macho”, specially dedicated to passionate romances ;-) It’s also the fastest chocolate cake i have ever cooked - and it’s really runny and yummy.

bon appétit !
Emilie

mininas-pancakes

Julio Landim from Salvador, Brasil, makes this recipe for pancakes with his girlfriend Jéssica. Minina means little girl in Portuguese.

Thanks Julio.

First of all, apologies to everyone for the lack of posts in the last few weeks. Sometimes something has to give in the endless plate spinning exercise of life… I have a few submissions to add which have been sent in for the Hottest Recipe Competition, and we are also extending the competition until the end of May (the 32nd? ;))

This is a lovely hot recipe from Angie…

‘This recipe it’s so popular in Mexico because when you’re tired, or maybe you want to get out to picnic with your family, cook this recipe (easy, fast, delish and healthy). When I cook this, I remember when I was a little child and my family and I travelled many places in Mexico, when my dady saw a wonderful landscape with incredible natural wealth, he stopped and we went down to enjoy nature.’

Krysalia from France says of this recipe, ‘I love this cheese eggplant dish because it is hearty and low carb. The cheese pictured is “le Maroilles”, a famous north-of-france feet-smelling cheese with orange crust. This cheese smells strongly but has a mild taste and is heavenly creamy when baked :) . Anyway the recipe is so simple that any cheese will be very good, from the softest fresh goat cheese to the hardest pecorino.’

Jack's hottest recipe entry

Jack is entering the Recipe Look Hottest Recipe Competition in a rather unusual format. We kind of hesitated (well Tom did) to put it up because there are no drawings, but it is so brilliant that it is officially up on here.

Here is the story: Jack realised how much he hates Gant charts. “I mean, what’s the point in a chart where the information gets further away from whatever it is referring to over time?! ”

Jack’s entry is “a testament to project managers and the failure of the Gant chart to ever make anyone want to do anything.”

As you can see Jack has not included chillis, but we love the wit! what do you guys think? don’t forget to vote, more entries soon!

Mangonada

mangonada

Iveth Morales kicks off the Hottest Recipe Competition with this hot drink from her home country: Mexico. She says, ‘It’s like a slush, you can drink it but also eat it with a spoon. It has two main ingredients: mangoes and chamoy sauce, which is a sweet and spicy sauce made from apricots and chillies (among other things). I guess in Britain you can find it in mexican or latinamerican specialty stores. Mangonada is really spicy and sweet at the same time, it is also extremely good!’

Another recipe from Valerie. She and Caroline (below) are sisters, by the way!
